This page says what personal data Security Training handles. The short version: very little, and only what the site needs to run and to answer you.

P-1Who handles your data

Security Training (securitytraining.co) is published by Alegria Media and Consulting Ltd. ("we"). We decide how the personal data described here is used. You can reach us through the contact form.

P-2What we collect

The site has no user accounts, no payments and no comments. You can read every page and use the calculator and comparison tools without giving us personal data. What we handle is limited to the following.

  • Contact form. If you write to us, we receive your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message. For a copyright notice we also receive the details you add about the work and the material.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical data automatically when a page is requested: IP address, browser and device details, the page requested and the time. This is used to run and secure the site.
  • Browser storage. The site does not set cookies and does not write to localStorage or sessionStorage. The calculator and comparison tools keep your choices in the page itself and in the page address (for example ?v=cyberbit, iluminr on the compare page). Nothing is kept after you close the page unless you save the address.
  • Google Fonts. Pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). When the fonts load, Google receives your IP address and browser details.

The site loads no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.

P-3Why we use it and on what legal basis

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, we rely on our legitimate interests to operate and secure the site and to answer the messages you send. Where the law requires consent, we ask for it and you can withdraw it at any time.

P-4Who receives it

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers acting for us.
  • The provider that delivers contact form messages to us, once the form is connected.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

P-5International transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country with appropriate safeguards.

P-6How long we keep it

Contact messages are kept as long as needed to handle them and are then deleted. Server logs are kept for a limited period set by the hosting provider.

P-7Your rights

EU and UK. You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, object to its use, withdraw consent, and complain to a supervisory authority.

California. Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA you can ask to know and to delete or correct personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do neither). We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

You also have rights under other privacy laws that apply to you.

To use any of these rights, write to us through the contact form and choose "Privacy request".

P-8Children

The site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

P-9Changes to this policy

If what the site does with data changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
