Security training platform calculator: re-weight the scores and estimate cost

Move the weights to match your own brief and the seven scored platforms re-rank on the spot. Costs appear only for vendors that publish a price: Hack The Box (per seat) and Conducttr (per licence). The other five publish no price, so the calculator says so instead of guessing.

Four team licences published. The Assessment Toolkit (behavioural assessment) is extra, from £4,536 a year. Larger exercises and Conducttr Local are priced on request.

Our published weights sum to 100 and run from 8 to 22, so the sliders run from 0 to 30. Set a criterion to 0 to ignore it.

Formula: re-weighted score = sum of (criterion score x your weight) / sum of your weights. Annual cost = published price per seat x seats (Hack The Box) or the published licence price (Conducttr). Cost per score point = annual cost / re-weighted score, in the vendor's own currency. Costs in different currencies are not converted and should not be compared directly.

Start from the gap you are buying for. If your problem is analyst skill, raise hands-on depth and breadth and lower cross-team. If your problem is the boardroom, raise cross-team and evidence. Then read the reviews of the top three, and compare them side by side on the compare page.

How do I use the security training platform calculator?

Set each weight to how much that criterion matters to you, enter your seat count, and read the ranking. The scores behind it are the same per-criterion scores published on the rankings page; only the weights change.

Why do most platforms show "Not published, contact sales"?

Because five of the seven scored vendors publish no business price. We do not estimate prices. Hack The Box publishes one business plan per seat and Conducttr publishes four team licences, so only those two show a cost.

Can I compare the Hack The Box and Conducttr costs directly?

Not directly. Hack The Box prices per seat in US dollars and Conducttr prices per team licence in pounds, excluding tax. The calculator shows each in its own currency and does not convert.

What does "Reset to our weights" do?

It restores the published weights from How we assess (realism 22, cross-team 20, evidence 16, effort to run 14, hands-on depth 12, breadth and free access 8, pricing 8), 10 seats and the default plans.
